Simple Crab and Shrimp Stuffed Salmon at Home is an elegant yet easy seafood dinner made with flaky salmon fillets filled with a rich, balanced crab and shrimp stuffing and baked until tender.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 center-cut salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 8 oz lump crab meat, picked over
  • 6 oz raw shrimp, peeled, deveined, finely chopped
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp finely diced onion or shallot
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
  • Extra chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ยฐF and line or lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Cut a pocket lengthwise into each salmon fillet and season inside and out with salt and pepper.
  3. In a bowl, gently mix crab meat, chopped shrimp, breadcrumbs, egg, mayonnaise, onion, garlic, Old Bay seasoning, paprika, and parsley.
  4. Spoon the crab and shrimp mixture evenly into each salmon pocket, pressing lightly.
  5. Place stuffed salmon in the baking dish and brush tops with olive oil.
  6. Bake uncovered for 22 to 26 minutes until salmon flakes easily and stuffing is cooked through.
  7. Remove from oven, rest for a few minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

Use thick, center-cut salmon for easier stuffing and avoid overbaking to keep the fish moist and tender.
